A new multi-purpose hall was proposed for Matthew Flinders Anglican College on the Sunshine Coast. The DtS design required a smoke exhaust system which was not economically or practically suited to the building. A fire-engineered performance-based design resulted in a far more economical and practical design that still fulfilled the essential life safety provisions provided by the building.
