A preliminary fire engineering investigation of the subject building proposal was undertaken to provide initial advice to the design team and contractors for costing and compliance with the NCC. This project was a new integrated Community and Cultural Centre facility, located opposite the Westfield Coomera Shopping Centre and Coomera Train Station. It primarily consisted of an auditorium, youth centre, exhibition space, dance studio, library and office spaces. FCC examined the building proposal and provided initial advice to designers/contractors in regard to their requirements for fire resistance, provision for escape and smoke hazard management.
