Fire Check Consultants (FCC) were commissioned by Cairns Airport Pty Ltd to provide a fire and life safety assessment of the existing International Terminal Building. The building was originally constructed circa 1990 and has since had a major extensions in 1996/97 and 2006.
The scope of work involved –
- Report on the existing level of fire and life safety; and
- Provide recommendations to mitigate any increased fire or life safety risks to an acceptable level.
After this initial engagement, FCC were commissioned to provide third party fire engineering consultancy services for the proposed redevelopment and extension works.
