Fire Check Consultants were commissioned to provide fire safety advice by Intebuild. The hotel was affected by a fire in 2010 and was proposed to be reinstated so that it could re-open for business. The purpose of the advice was to identify and list potential solutions to ensure fire and life safety issues are adequately addressed to satisfy the Queensland Building Act 1975 section 81. The building is heritage listed. FCC provided fire safety advise for BCA Section C, D and E, which were agreed in principle by all stakeholders, including QFES.
