MacArthur Chambers retail store, at ground and mezzanine floors, was forming part of fit-out proposal.
The fire engineering assessment varied the following parts of the Building Code of Australia –
- Travel distances;
- Effective exit widths;
- Distance between exits;
- Exit discharge;
- Protection of openings; and
- Fire compartment size.
Considering the transitional provisions of Standard Building Regulation, Fire Check Consultants invoked performance solutions for the above non-compliance issues.
