Fire Check Consultants were appointed to undertake a fire engineering assessment of the existing building development. The Criterion Hotel is situated on the corner of Quay and East Street in Rockhampton and is heritage listed. This building was constructed in 1887 and opened for business in 1889 and provides short-term budget accommodation, dining and public bar facilities. The non-compliance issues identified by Rockhampton Building Approvals were resolved. FCC presented a robust proposal for solutions to non-compliances in order to comply with the Performance Requirements of the Building Code of Australia Volume One.
