A new aged care facility was proposed to be constructed at Mount Warren Park QLD. The site was consisting of one basement level and two residential storeys on the ground level. Each resident wing or house was subdivided into smoke compartments not exceeding 500 metres2 and fire compartments not exceeding 3,000 metres2 in floor area. All fire resistance levels, fire safety installations, and special fire services were to be provided in compliance with the NCC prescriptive requirements for a Class 7a and Class 9c building. All reported non-compliances with the NCC were resolved by providing robust solutions. FCC also conducted the inspection of the building and issued a compliance letter ensuring fire safety measures proposed in the report have been installed.
