Fire Check Consultants have been appointed to undertake a fire safety audit at ‘IPG Marketing Solution’ manufacturing and warehouse facility. The Fire Safety Audit assesses the existing practices of the building and the associated fire safety hazards. The intent of this audit was to confirm compliance with the applicable building legislative requirements to ensure the building allows for the safe evacuation of occupants, fire brigade intervention and the minimisation of fire and smoke spread. The building contains a rise in storeys of 2 and is comprising of offices (Class 5), a printing processing warehouse (Class 8) and a paper storage warehouse (Class 7b). FCC reviewed the building plans against the BCA requirements for Section C (Fire Resistance), Section D (Access and Egress) and Section E (Service and Equipment). The findings were informed with the advice to rectify the issues by an appropriately qualified and licensed person.
