This residential building consists of one basement and six residential levels. FCC were engaged as the location of the booster assembly did not comply with the requirements of AS 2419.1. A heat radiant heat flux analysis was therefore conducted to determine if fire fighters would be exposed to excessive heat radiation. The fire engineering analysis demonstrated that fire fighters would not be exposed to heat radiation when working in front of the booster’s fire-resistant wall and roof structure. Results of a heat radiation study demonstrated that the heat flux received at the booster location would not exceed the prescribed limit of tenability conditions.
